CEO & PRESIDENT

Sherrie Nash

Nash took the reins of JBS Solutions in 2014 and has pushed it to the forefront of innovative contractor solutions by prioritizing company integrity, employee expertise and employee satisfaction. With her BS in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University, she swiftly rose into engineering management, utilizing her skills at a Fortune 500 company for a decade. 
Under her, JBS has expanded capabilities, contracts and employee numbers, secured the SBA 8(a), WOSB and SDB certifications and participated in a NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Mentor Protégé Agreement with Jacobs Space Exploration Group-the first of its kind.

VICE CHAIRMAN

Clayton Hinchman

Clayton Hinchman is the former Founder, President, and CEO of USi. USi was acquired by Ignite on April 1, 2016. On May 1 of 2020, Clayton took over as Chairman and CEO of Ignite. Clayton Hinchman served in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer. He medically retired as a Captain due to wounds sustained during an improvised explosive attack while conducting a night raid to kill or capture Al Qaeda in Iraq. After serving in the military, Clayton worked for the Joint IED Defeat Organization and with various non-profit organizations in Washington, DC. Clayton is an ambassador to the Vail Veterans Program and a past board member to the Elizabeth Dole Foundation. During his Army career, he was assigned to 10th Mountain Division and Special Operations Task Force 17. He earned his Airborne and Air Assault wings, and also graduated as the Honor Graduate from the US Army Ranger School. His military decorations include the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Meritorious Service Medal. Clayton earned his undergraduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Masters from Georgetown University, continuing executive education at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, and is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program at Babson College. Clayton was born in San Benito, TX and graduated High School from Angleton, TX. He and his wife, Leslie, have two daughters.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Melanie Newton

Melanie Newton is Chief Operating Officer for JBS Solutions and is responsible for oversight and management of the day-to-day operations.

She embodies a wide swath of experience in the information technology sector, highly technical services staffing for government contracts in the aerospace industry and expertise in the field of accounting. With a background in business development for technology start-ups, STEM is her focus.

She has acted as capture manager and proposal lead for highly technical contracts with NASA and DOD in addition to executing her role as program manager for contracts with those organizations.

Melanie was named one of Business Alabama’s “Women in Tech” in 2023.

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC PROGRAMS

Kelly Norton

Norton parlayed a 2019 B.S. degree from Auburn University into her initial role as HUBZone community manager and subsequent organizational proficiency manager for JBS Solutions, optimizing the interface between employee, organization and customer. She currently provides ongoing structure and accountability to JBS new business projects in her role as Director of Strategic Programs. As JII’s director of strategic programs, Norton liaises directly with federal agencies and potential teaming partners to advocate for JII in building relationships and developing mutually beneficial marketing strategies.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC PROGRAMS

Taylor Triggs

Taylor Triggs serves as a Business Development Manager and Program Manager at Ignite, a Huntsville-headquartered Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) supporting mission-critical programs across the Department of Defense and federal agencies. Since joining Ignite in 2021, Taylor has played a dual role — leading key business development initiatives in support of the Chief Growth Officer while also managing a strategic U.S. Air Force program.

Taylor holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
